Dr. Rahmani is a board certified Manhattan periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist.
Who doesn’t want to feel healthy and to have a nice smile? Good gum health and general health…did you know the two are very closely connected? By looking after your gums, you are protecting your general health and vice versa. So just what is this connection…

Gum Disease Can affect Your General Health

Gum disease is a bacterial infection that can occur if you fail to brush and floss properly. This allows a sticky layer of plaque bacteria, called a biofilm, to build up over the surface of your teeth. Within just a very short while, plaque can harden into tartar which is an extremely hard substance that can only be removed during a professional cleaning.

The problem with both plaque and tartar is that the bacteria within them release toxins and it’s these toxins that will begin to inflame and infect your gums. One of the most common side effects of gum disease or periodontal disease is bleeding gums. This symptom has the ability to affect your general health and here’s why.

When your gums bleed they create an open pathway for the bacteria in your mouth to get into your bloodstream. Once inside your bloodstream, these bacteria can travel just about anywhere in your body. This is a problem for your general health, as gum disease is an inflammatory condition, and these bacteria can create new sites of inflammation throughout your body.

Gum Disease and General Health Conditions

The ability of gum disease to cause new sites of inflammation is a particular problem for inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. The presence of these bacteria can increase your risk of developing these and other health conditions, or will worsen any diseases already present.

Diabetes is a particularly good example as diabetics are already more at risk of developing gum disease because poorly controlled blood sugar levels can lead to an increase of glucose in saliva. This is the perfect fuel for bacteria, enabling them to thrive and multiply and increasing the risk of gum disease. For a diabetic with gum disease, it can be harder to control blood sugar levels due to the presence of these bacteria within the bloodstream.

Achieve Good Gum Health – Great Periodontal Care

This is where specialized care can really help as an experienced periodontist like Dr. Navid Rahmani can provide the very periodontal treatment in NYC. Having a proper periodontal evaluation can be invaluable if you are more at risk of developing gum disease, or even if you just want to make sure you have good gum health. By carefully evaluating your current gum health, Dr. Rahmani can recommend suitable and highly specialized treatments if required.

When caught in its early stages, gum disease or gingivitis is easily curable but it is quite a different story if it is already progressed into periodontal disease which can become chronic. If this is the case, Dr. Rahmani of New York Periodontics will work with you to provide a suitable treatment plan and it’s likely your periodontal care will be ongoing to help control your periodontal disease and to protect your general health as much as possible.

Dental implants are increasingly being used as part of major smile makeovers where multiple and quite complex treatments may be required to replace teeth and restore smiles. Often treatments need to be carried out in a specific order so that the very best results can be obtained. This is certainly true where orthodontics and dental implants are concerned.

If you are considering having an extensive amount of work carried out to improve the appearance of your teeth or your dental health, then it’s quite possible that orthodontics may form part of your treatment plan. Getting your teeth into the correct alignment can be very beneficial, but it’s most likely that your orthodontic treatment will need to be completed first before you can think about having dental implants Upper East Side.

Advantage Of Orthodontic Treatment Before Implants

Dental implants consist of a small titanium alloy post that is inserted into your jawbone during a small surgical procedure. Afterwards, the post must be left to heal or integrate with the surrounding bone. This process is called osseointegration and is where new bone cells grow on and around the post which is often been specially treated to encourage this.

Once the post is fully integrated it is extremely strong and stable and is able to support an implant tooth. After this, it’s preferable that the implant post isn’t moved in any way. Additionally, orthodontic treatment can be planned to help provide more space for dental implants to be successfully placed. This can help provide better aesthetic results so that once the implant teeth are finally restored, they should look amazing in your newly straightened smile.

The Role of Orthodontics in Implant Dentistry

Very occasionally it’s possible that dental implant treatment may be completed before orthodontic treatment. This might be the case if it’s necessary to use a dental implant as an anchorage point, helping to provide additional forces to reposition teeth as required. If this is the case then you would need to get the dental implant inserted into your jaw before your braces are fitted (Read more: Dental Implants Instead of Braces). If you are missing teeth in an area not affected by orthodontic treatment, then it might also be possible to have dental implants before you finish wearing dental braces.

How to Find the Right Periodontist in NYC

It is quite complicated and is something that will be considered very carefully by your dental implant dentist. Certainly an experienced implant dentist such as Dr. Navid Rahmani is used to working with other specialists. By closely collaborating on a suitable treatment plan, Dr. Rahmani will ensure that you receive your dental implants at an optimal time and the treatment doesn’t interfere with orthodontic treatment and vice versa.

If you are considering full mouth reconstruction or a quite complex smile makeover then it’s worth contacting Dr. Rahmani at Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery for a proper consultation. After examining your teeth and jaws, he can provide you with a suitable treatment plan and you will find he is extremely good at explaining all possible treatment options. It can be quite a lot to take in, but always feel free to ask any questions you might have about your treatment as it’s important to understand all the procedures being recommended and how they will help you.

Top periodontist Dr. Rahmani is a board certified New York periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist.
Loose dentures are a very common problem, making it tricky to eat and talk without fear of the dentures shifting position, or even worse coming out. It is an issue that increasingly affects dentures wearers after they have had their dentures for several years and as the bone supporting the dentures gradually changes shape, offering less support and retention. This is where dental implants upper east side can help.

Using Dental Implants to Stabilize Loose Dentures

There are various different dental implant treatments that can be used to stabilize loose dentures. These can vary according to the implant system used and the number of dental implants required. Treatment may also differ in whether the denture will be removable, or if a patient chooses to have it replaced completely with a fixed bridge of teeth that will remain permanently in place until removed by a dental implant dentist . The most cost-effective treatment is often to use just a few dental implants to hold a denture in place and where it can still be taken out each day for cleaning.

Best Dental Implants System: All-On-Four

Quite often, it’s possible to hold a lower loose dentures firmly in position with as few as four dental implants using a technique called All-on-Four. The dental implants are inserted at the front of the jawbone as this is because the bone in this area tends to be stronger and thicker, reducing the need for bone grafts. The denture will then simply clip into place but can be easily taken out for cleaning. This treatment is hugely effective and can often be completed quite quickly.

Using Multiple Dental Implants

Another option is to use multiple dental implants to hold a denture or to replace it completely with a fixed arch of teeth. This might be a good choice for anyone who is thoroughly fed up with wearing a denture and who would much prefer to have teeth that are non-removable. With this choice, it’s often possible to use various different types of dental implants, including mini dental implants treatment to hold the loose dentures or bridge in place.

Which Dental Implant System Will Be Best for You?

As you can see, there are a range of options available if you currently struggle with wearing loose dentures or are faced with the full dentures in the future. This is why it’s important to go to a best dental implant dentist or oral surgeon who has lots of experience like Dr. Navid Rahmani of Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery.

Dr. Rahmani has experience in using numerous dental implant systems so you can be sure of receiving the most appropriate treatment using high quality dental implant components. If you choose to go to a general dentist for treatment, you could end up receiving an implant system they feel most comfortable using (Read more: Midtown East Implant Restoration), rather than the best option for you.

A full consultation will enable you to find out all possible options and Dr. Rahmani will take quite some time to explain all these choices to you and to discuss which will be the most suitable. The aim certainly isn’t to push the most expensive treatment, but rather to find a treatment that you feel comfortable with and which will provide the very best and long-lasting results.

Dr. Rahmani is a board certified Manhattan periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist.
If you have been investigating the possibility of having dental implants then you might have come across mini dental implants. So what are mini implants and when should they be used?

What Are Mini Dental Implant?

Mini dental implant differ from normal or traditional dental implant as they are considerably smaller. Although the implant post is about the same length in both systems, the actual diameter of a mini dental implant is much narrower. Both types of dental implant are made from the highest quality medical grade titanium alloy, but mini dental implant tend to be constructed so the implant post and the abutment are one solid piece. This is different from conventional dental implants where the abutment is a separate structure that screws into the implant post. A dental implant dentist might suggest you think about having mini dental implants in certain situations.

When Mini Dental Implants Can Be Appropriate

Most times, good dental implant dentist such as Dr. Navid Rahmani of Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery is more likely to suggest conventional sized dental implants. This is because the larger size increases the surface area of the implant post, providing greater opportunity for the post to fully integrate with the surrounding bone.

However the smaller size of mini dental implant can make it a very good choice for situations where space is tight and a good example would be a small front tooth such as a lower incisor. These teeth can sometimes be so small that it would be impossible to comfortably fit a normal-sized dental implant into the gap. Using a mini dental implant allows the tooth to be comfortably restored.

Another situation where mini dental implants can be a more appropriate choice of treatment is when securing a loose denture, particularly partial dentures. In this case the mini dental implant will have special attachments that will fit onto the corresponding attachments on the fitting surface of the denture. One of the nice things about this type of treatment is that often the dentures can be fitted in place soon after the dental implants have been inserted into the jaw.

Other Advantages of Choosing Mini Implants

The surgery required to insert mini dental implants is less invasive than traditional implant surgery. With a traditional dental implant, Dr. Rahmani needs to make a small incision into the gum tissue, exposing the bone so the implant can be placed, but with a mini dental implant this isn’t necessary. Instead the implant post can be inserted straight through the gum tissue and into the bone. It’s easy to see the advantage of this type of treatment as healing will be faster and there should be fewer side-effects. Both types of treatments are meticulously planned using the latest computer guided surgery.

When you visit top rated periodontist Dr. Rahmani then you can be sure he will always recommend the best and most long-lasting solution to replace any missing teeth. One major concern of many people is being left without teeth during implant treatment. This shouldn’t happen as it is always possible to make sure you are supplied with at least temporary teeth to wear for the duration of treatment so you can eat and smile in comfort.

Dr. Rahmani is a board certified periodontist in NYC and Dental Implant Specialist. Our state of the art NYC periodontics facility equipped with the most advanced periodontal equipment available in USA including latest lasers & high precision microscopes. We work with top dental labs in NYC and use only highest quality dental components available on the market today.

If you have recently been told you have gum disease symptoms then your dentist or periodontist might have talked about gingivitis and periodontitis or perhaps periodontal disease. Learning you have an oral health problem is bad enough without having to cope with lots of dental terminology so what is the difference between gingivitis and periodontitis?

Early Stages of Gum Disease Symptoms

If you have been told you have gingivitis then you are relatively lucky as this is an early form of gum disease and is extremely treatable. All types of gum disease symptoms are caused by bacterial infection, usually due to poor oral hygiene that has allowed bacteria to build up to such an extent that your immune system cannot fight back. With gingivitis the infection is still in its early stages and is only affecting your gums.

Symptoms of gingivitis include noticing that your gums have begun to bleed when you brush or floss or that they look red or swollen and are shiny. They may also feel slightly tender if you touch them.

To treat gingivitis, your teeth will need to be professionally cleaned to remove hardened plaque which is a substance called tartar. This contains the bacteria that are causing the inflammation and infection in your gums. By removing these bacteria, your gums will have a much better chance of healing.

This is only part of the treatment as it is vital that you pay attention to your oral health at home and it is likely this is something that your dentist will talk to you about and they may review your brushing and flossing techniques with you. Catching gum disease at this stage is good news as things become much more serious if you leave gingivitis to develop into periodontitis.

Periodontitis Is Advanced Gum Disease

Periodontitis is far more serious than gingivitis as the bacterial infection has begun destroying not only your gums but also other tissues surrounding your teeth. These include ligaments and bone. At this stage you are far better off visiting a specialist such as Dr Navid Rahmani at Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery.

Although your general dentist may be able to diagnose periodontitis they will not have received specialized training in treating this condition. It is very serious so you want to receive the very best and most advanced treatments available to get rid of gum disease symptoms.

Non-Surgical Treatment for Periodontitis

Periodontitis can be treated non-surgically and surgically and it’s quite possible part of your treatment will involve scaling and root planing your teeth. This deep cleans your gums removing much of the bacterial infection. Treatment may need to be combined with various surgical techniques to help repair some of the damage caused by this disease. These days, periodontists can use the most advanced bone grafting and gum grafting techniques to help restore lost tissues. Sometimes treatment may need to be ongoing to help control this infection as it isn’t always possible to clear it up completely.

Both gingivitis and periodontitis deserve to be taken seriously as gum disease symptoms can impact your general health. If you think you may have infected gums, it’s best to seek treatment as quickly as you can to minimize the damage to your oral health and to your general health.

Dr. Rahmani is a board certified periodontist NYC and Dental Implant Specialist. Our state of the art facility equipped with the most advanced periodontal equipment available in USA including latest lasers & high precision microscopes. We work with top dental labs in NYC and use only highest quality dental components available on the market today.

Unfortunately, dental implants can become infected, often by a condition called peri-implantitis (Read more: Dental Implant Complications). Peri-implantitis is an inflammation very similar to periodontal disease and it affects the gum tissues surrounding a dental implant. Symptoms of infection include gums that easily bleed when gently probed, and increased pocket depth in between the gum and the implant.

Other signs include swollen gums and there may be a nasty discharge. The problem with this condition is it can affect the bone surrounding the infected dental implant and if you are at all concerned about the condition of any of your implants then it’s worth booking a checkup as soon as you can with Dr. Navid Rahmani here at Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery.

Diagnosing an Infected Dental Implant

One of the first things Dr. Rahmani is likely to want to do, is to take a dental x-ray of the infected dental implant. He may also gently probe around the implant to assess the degree of the infection and inflammation. By carefully probing the area, he can hopefully make an early diagnosis of any signs of infection. Early detection is absolutely essential if the implant is to be saved.

One of the problems with this condition is that it often doesn’t create any pain and as a result patients are frequently unaware that an implant is infected. Dr. Rahmani will also try to assess if the inflammation could be caused by another problem such as cementitis, where a foreign body has caused infection.

During the first year after implant surgery, symptoms may also be due to the bone remodeling, so it is important for Dr Rahmani to rule out other causes of infection and inflammation (Read more: Dental Implant Surgery Aftercare).

Treating Any Signs of Dental Implant Infection

If an infection is diagnosed, then one of the most important aspects of the treatment will be to clean the surface of the infected dental implant. This may be tricky depending on the type of implant that has been used as implants with rough surfaces cannot be thoroughly cleaned mechanically.

The next step will be to disinfect the area. For a moderate infection, Dr Rahmani may recommend the use of antibiotics. This is where the loss of bone around the dental implant will be between 2 mm and 4 mm.

For more advanced implant infections where the bone loss is more severe, surgical intervention may be required, combined with mechanically cleaning the implant, disinfection and the use of antibiotics.

Can an Infected Dental Implant Be Saved?

The earlier an infection is treated, the better the chances of success. If a dental implant has already become loose due to a severe infection and subsequent bone loss, it may not be possible to save it. In this case the infected dental implant might need to be removed and the area left to heal. It might be possible to place another dental implant at a later stage, once it’s clear all the infection has been removed.

If you do have dental implants, it’s so important to make sure you keep up with a regime of regular dental checkups every six months. This allows your dentist to check your dental implants for any signs of early inflammation and infection so that prompt action can be taken if anything is found.

Quitting smoking can be a real issue, even if you know the health risks and potential benefits of giving up. Most people are all too well aware of this habits links to lung cancer and advanced periodontal disease, but the effects on oral health are easy to overlook.

Potential Dental Problems Caused by Smoking

One of the major problems with smoking is that it tends to mask the damage being caused to teeth and gums and this is due to the nicotine in tobacco smoke being a vasoconstrictor. This means that the nicotine causes the blood vessels to contract, reducing the flow of blood to your gums and to your jawbone. The effect is twofold as a reduced blood flow makes it harder for the body to fight infection by reducing the flow of essential nutrients to damaged tissues. At the same time the body is also less able to transport toxins away from the infection site. Secondly, a reduced blood flow makes it harder to see the damage being caused to gums, so if you have any signs of active gum disease then these will be far less visible.

Other chemicals contained within the smoke will combine with plaque bacteria and this is dangerous because x-rays taken of smoker’s teeth often shows that the jawbone has begun to shrink away from their teeth. This damage can be difficult to detect, producing very few early warning signs of advanced periodontal disease,.

Additionally, nicotine affects saliva, causing it to become thicker so it is less able to wash away acid created after eating. As a result heavy smokers can be more likely to suffer from tooth decay than non-smokers, even though they may practice good oral hygiene.

Developing Advanced Periodontal Disease

This is a major problem and as a top periodontist in NYC,is something that Dr. Navid Rahmani of Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery is especially concerned about when seeing patients who smoke. Unfortunately the likelihood of developing advanced periodontal disease or gum disease is six times higher in smokers. Periodontal disease is an extremely serious condition affecting not only the gums, but also the membranes and ligaments and bone supporting the teeth.

Will You Lose Your Teeth If You Have Periodontal Disease?

In advanced cases, Dr. Rahmani may have little choice but to extract teeth that have already become loose (Read more: Tooth Extraction Procedure). Smoking masks one of the major signs of gum disease which is bleeding gums and as a result periodontal disease can be very advanced before a smoker notices there is something wrong with their dental health. Although diligent brushing and flossing may slow down deteriorating gums, it’s often difficult for smokers to thoroughly remove all the plaque from the teeth due to smoking decreasing sensations in the mouth, making it difficult for them to detect areas that may not have been properly brushed.

As a periodontist, Dr. Rahmani is a specialist in treating advanced periodontal disease and is able to provide patients with the very latest techniques and treatments to help slow down this condition. Where teeth are lost then one option is to replace them with dental implants, but smoking is not advisable during this treatment because it does slow down healing.

If you do currently smoke and value your smile, it’s worth thinking about quitting.

Dental implants can be a wonderful way to replace missing teeth and many Americans have already benefited from this innovative implant surgery treatment. A dental implant consists of a small titanium post or screw that is inserted into the jawbone. It works by gradually fusing with the jawbone during a process called osseointegration (Read more…). Once osseointegration is complete, the implant post should be firmly bonded with the bone and will not be able to move.

Effects of Antibiotics on Dental Implant Surgery

Osseointegration is essential as dental implants need to be strong and stable to support replacement teeth. For this to occur, it’s important to give the implant post every chance of integrating with the jawbone. To make matters more complicated, often additional procedures are required such as bone or gum tissue grafts to help increase the chances of success or to enhance the appearance of your new teeth. The use of antibiotics can be extremely helpful in ensuring a good rate of healing.

It’s easy to imagine the mouth as being a clean and sterile place but this couldn’t be further from the truth. There are many different strains of bacteria in your mouth, some of which are capable of causing infection. The procedure such as dental implant surgery can allow these bacteria to get into your bloodstream. This is why Dr. Navid Rahmani might suggest using antibiotics, possibly prior to dental implant surgery. It could be particularly important if you are at a higher risk of developing an infection. Using antibiotics prior to the surgery will help prevent bacteria from infecting your body.

Infection Risks Around Dental Implants

People who may be more at risk of infection and who might benefit from taking antibiotics include older adults who may have serious health problems or anyone who has a weakened immune system. People who normally smoke, diabetics and people who are substantially underweight or overweight may all be at increased risk of infection. One particularly high-risk group includes people who have a history of infective endocarditis or who have prosthetic heart valves, or those people with congenital heart conditions.

Reduce Your Risk of Infection after Surgery

When you visit Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery for your initial consultation with Dr.Rahmani, your general health will be discussed in some depth. Dr. Rahmani will need to decide if you will benefit from taking antibiotics as part of your dental implant treatment and can discuss your level of risk for infection and how best to reduce it.

Dr. Rahmani does have extremely high success rates for all his dental implant treatments so there is no real need to worry, provided you follow post-operative care instructions as closely as possible. Antibiotics will only be prescribed if there is a real need for them and not everyone will need to take antibiotics before or after dental implant surgery. A recent review that included low-risk healthy people did find that taking just a single dose of oral antibiotics and hour before surgery could be useful but this doesn’t necessarily mean that a low-risk individual will benefit from taking antibiotics or that it’s always the right thing to do.

If you visit your dentist regularly then you will be familiar with regular dental cleanings. These are great for keeping teeth and gums healthy and in good condition, and your normal dental cleaning is a preventative dental treatment. It’s quite different if you require scaling and root planing procedure at this is a more specialized procedure that helps to treat periodontitis or gum disease. It is a treatment often used by Dr. Navid Rahmani to help clear up the gum infections and it often forms part of an ongoing periodontal maintenance plan.

Scaling and Root Planing: How Might It Help You?

Scaling and root planing procedure deep cleans your gums, taking things much further than a normal dental cleaning. With an ordinary dental cleaning, only your teeth are scaled and polished, but with scaling and root planing, tooth roots that have become exposed are also thoroughly cleaned. As a side effect of gum disease, the gums gradually begin to pull back from the teeth, causing gum recession and exposing the tooth roots. This also creates deep pockets in between the gums and the teeth that can be very difficult to keep clean. The aim of scaling and root planing is to thoroughly clean out these pockets, helping the gums to fit more closely to the teeth as they gradually heal and become stronger.

During scaling and root planing procedure, your teeth and tooth roots are carefully scaled, removing any tartar buildup. Afterwards the exposed tooth roots are planed or gently smoothed, a procedure that helps to make it easier for gum tissue to heal by making it harder for bacteria to stick to the smooth surfaces.

How Laser Periodontal Therapy Treats Gums Disease

Scaling and root planing procedure will often be combined with laser dentistry, particularly as Dr. Rahmani has one of the most advanced dental lasers available today. This helps to greatly enhance the quality of the treatment in a way that is extremely gentle and non-invasive. A dental laser is an excellent way to help eliminate even more bacteria as it gently sterilizes the area being treated. Additionally, a laser can be used to remove any tissues that are too badly damaged to heal and it provides such a high degree of accuracy that more of the healthy tissues can be left intact. Another nice thing about laser dentistry is that it helps the healing process. The energy of a laser helps to minimize any bleeding and swelling, making healing faster and more comfortable.

When Should You Consider Scaling and Root Planing Procedure?

If your gums have begun to bleed frequently or you have noticed that your teeth look longer than you remember, it could be a great idea to book a periodontal evaluation with a good periodontist. You don’t need a referral from your dentist to make an appointment with Dr. Rahmani at Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery. The specialized care provided by a periodontal dental office could help save your teeth. Periodontal disease is a serious condition that has the potential to affect your general health so it’s important not to ignore any possible symptoms.

If you have recently started researching dental implants, then you have probably discovered that in addition to conventional dental implants, there are a confusing number of different types of implants and techniques that can be used to replace your missing teeth. So which type is better and when should it be used?

Mini Dental Implant Placement

Conventional dental implants have a diameter of 3 mm or more whereas mini dental implants have a diameter of less than 3 mm. Mini dental implants tend to be used in situations where there isn’t sufficient room for a conventional sized implant so they can be good for replacing small front incisors. They are also commonly used to support dentures. The decreased size of the implant post does mean there is less surface area to bond with your jawbone, making the use of these implants only suitable in particular situations.

Immediate Implants vs Conventional Dental Implants

With immediate dental implants, you can have your implants inserted and will receive a new tooth or a set of teeth a very short while after surgery is completed. It’s not surprising that this is immensely appealing, but just like mini dental implants, immediate implants are only suitable in certain cases. Conventional dental implants need to be left to heal and integrate with the jawbone and immediate dental implants are no exception. The implant teeth that are fitted soon after surgery are temporary and are specially designed to make sure you don’t place excessive stress on the dental implants and that they cannot move while they heal. Once the implants have fully integrated with your jawbone, your temporary teeth will be replaced with your permanent teeth that will look and feel even better.

All On Four Dental Implant Procedure

This can be a great technique for securing loose dentures, particularly lower dentures. As the name suggests, you only need four dental implants to support a complete lower bridge. The dental implants are placed towards the front of the mouth where the bone is thicker and stronger, making this treatment is suitable for people who may have previously been told they didn’t have sufficient bone for conventional dental implants and would require a bone graft prior to treatment. The use of so few dental implants does make treatment very affordable but this technique is highly specialized so it’s important to make sure you choose an implant dentist with the training and experience needed for this procedure to be a complete success.

Advice and Treatment from an Implant Specialist

The huge number of different techniques and implants that can be used does mean it’s vitally important that you visit a proper implant dentist who has experience in using lots of different systems and who routinely carried out this type of specialized treatment. You will find Dr. Navid Rahmani of Manhattan Periodontics & Implant Surgery can thoroughly assess your jaws and will be able to recommend and provide the best possible treatment for you. He only uses top quality materials and routinely places many conventional dental implants each year. His practice also has the latest digital imaging equipment and Dr. Rahmani takes immense care to ensure every treatment is a complete success offering a long-term solution for tooth loss.
